Because of all the excitement recently in the Snow Family, Lincoln missed a chance to go to the ever so LUSH Colorado city aquatics base for the annual father and son outing--OK so it's not so lush, but he missed the chance to go camping so we joined Clint and Lyndon for their father and son outing in the Cap Rock Canyon State Park. Several other fathers were bringing their daughters, so Clint assured us that it would be OK to bring Savannah as well. So Savannah joined Lincoln and I on the father and son's cam pout.
We drove from Midland to Cap Rock Canyon, which sits north and east of Lubbock Texas. We drove through endless cotton and wheat fields and wind farms until all of a sudden this big beautiful canyon opened up in front of us. We arrived around 9 o'clock and Lincoln and Savannah ran around and played with the other kids until around 12 o'clock at night. I think they could have played longer, but I was worn out so we headed to bed. They both slept until about 7:30 the next morning. Then we got up, ate a breakfast burrito and went for a hike and a short drive to try to get a glimpse of the Texas State Buffalo heard. Then it was back into the car for the long drive home. We had a great time and Lincoln got to see that there are canyons in Texas and that all of Texas is not flat and desolate. I hope you enjoy some of the pictures.

That is a pretty area. I always enjoyed driving through there to remind me that all of Texas is not UGLY! Sounds like you guys had a blast!
What a great dad! Looks like a fun campout.
