I should probably surrender the camera for awhile. I'm addicted. I'm seeing color everywhere I turn, and no, that's not just because I have four kids and it's a little chaotic around here. I am really enjoying this project. I would promise you a more substantial posting, but I don't like making promises I can't keep so I'll update now. I mean really, there isn't much going on in our world right now anyway. (hmmm, my nose just grew, does that mean something?)
Cael has taken a whopping 5 steps, yesterday...however he refuses to take so much as one today. This means that the camera that has been in my hand for the better part of the last week has not yet captured the remarkable feat of one of our babies progressing into the world of toddling. When it happens for the camera I will share. Both Cael and Landry do enjoy standing, walking with assistance and screaming at the top of their lungs. It's that annoying, screeching sound that you fear will break your eardrums, and yet sadly it doesn't. We're hoping it's a phase. Seriously.
Savannah is working on turning my bottle colored hair gray by competing with the twins to see who can make the most messes, the most noise and give the best hugs. I think she wins on all accounts. (no, I don't have gray hair yet, and no, I will not document that for posterity on a blog when it does happen...)
Lincoln is anxiously awaiting. Seriously, he's got a lot to look forward to: TAKS math results, GEM results, the end of school, the last soccer game of the season, his visit to Utah and Cub Scout day camp. I think he's going to miss Snowflake the most out of all of us when he's gone to Utah - too bad we'll miss him more than she will.
Shane's slowly but surely working on "the project". It'll be done one day, and when it is I will have bragging rights on the world's best pantry (or at least my best pantry ever). I'm already planning the celebratory feast when we complete it - made completely out of food storage, what else?
I'm looking forward to heading to Zion (otherwise known to the worldly man as Utah) this summer. Not only am I excited to see family and friends but with the temperatures averaging 100°+ I'm questioning our sanity in moving to the desolation known as West Texas. It's lovely here, I swear, just really dry, pretty warm and really, really, really flat. A few weeks in Utah and I'll be raring to get back, right?
Anyway, on to the real reason I'm posting...COLORS in sort of a drab, bleak, mysteriously elegant sort of way...otherwise known as one of my favorite colors, perhaps because of it's slimming effects...BLACK! Can you guess what they all are?

Great pictures!
It sounds like you have been busy, busy at your place! I hope you can document those first steps!
Wow, did you take all those pictures? I love the textures and variety within the color black. Nice job. Very interesting!
