Utah...part 8

Shane graduated from BYU. He attended classes on campus, I'm sure that he went to a few activities on campus. He had no idea what I was talking about when I told him that we went to the Bean Museum and the Earth Science Museum. He walked past these museums for years and had no idea they were there...Makes me wonder what he did for fun...

I grew up going to the Bean Museum several times a year. I loved looking the animals, comparing the different types of antelope and looking up close at the lions, tigers and bears....oh, my...sorry, I had to.

It wasn't until Lincoln got into dinosaurs that I went to the Earth Science museum. Though much smaller than the museums in Vernal, Lehi and Ogden it was still fun to see the skeletons, and see the students working on the fossils. And, it was free - both museums are. What a cheap day!

This was another day without Lincoln, and he was sad he missed out. We packed a picnic and ate on the huge lawn by the Bean Museum. My kids didn't know what to do with a whole, big, huge, green, soft lawn...they ate and ran (or toddled a little unsteadily) for over an hour. I won't bore you with the videos but it was hilarious to see them get over their fear of grass! (which is a completely valid phobia when you live in West Texas...see any other post for reference)

If you click on the above collage and look at Savannah's face you'll see how excited she was to stand by the T-Rex head...this may have been the precursor to the issues we had in the cave...just a guess!

And I love the "no, i'm scared" comment. I can totally hear her saying that. :)

Cute, cute pictures, and amen to loving the grass in Utah. Sophie is confused now that we are home and it hurts to walk around on the grass! Loved Savannah's face next to T-Rex!
