Back to School Brief

Exhibit 1: Lincoln - can't wait to start 4th grade, loves to set alarms for the crack of dawn so he can get up and at 'em, enjoys being almost as big as his mom, loves spending the afternoons with siblings

Exhibit 2: Savannah - misses exhibit 1 while he's at school, can't wait to start preschool, thinks she's a teenager, motivates exhibit 1 and 4 to walk to school while exhibit 4 pushes exhibits 2, 3 (a and b) in/on a stroller, loves picking exhibit 1 up from school so she can spend the afternoon with him

Exhibit 3 (a and b): (a) Landry and (b) Cael - can't wait to see exhibit 1 at the end of the school day, enjoy being placed in above mentioned stroller to walk exhibit 1 to school, enjoy spending moments with exhibit 2 during the day, thrive off of driving exhibit 4 crazy and love to pick on each other

Exhibit 4: Mommy - thinks all the kids are getting a little too old - too quickly, denies aging at the rate the children are, unwillingly sets alarms to go off at the crack of dawn to start the day by pushing over 80 pounds of exhibits in/on a stroller to school before the sun rises properly, enjoys playing referee, chauffeur, chef, doctor, etc., looks forward to the pleasant, happy moments during the day when the children all fall asleep...

Conclusion:
(A) - Back to school time is as bad as Daylight Savings time and jet lag...
(B) - Kids age much too fast, and at a much faster rate than their parents
(C) - Parents will do just about anything for a few moments of peace and happy children, like getting up way too early to do way too much...

Wow! What a gorgeous picture of you! Sounds a lot like my life, minus walking the kids to school. (way to go) The breaking up fights between babies is becoming more common as the days go on. BTW, Lincoln is so adorable and sounds so grown up. Way to go raising such a great kid

Sorry to comment again, but I had to. I just went on to your cooking blog...can I just say, you have amazing recipes!! I've been a big slacker in the cookin' area but I'm back in the mood. Anyway, your husband must be so excited to see what he's coming home to eat every night. So, what is your secret, how do you have time to do all that you do, how are you so organized????? Please, please, please, I need your help. I'm so sad we don't live closer!

Okay, you've given me some ideas, maybe dinner time doesn't have to be quite so stressful. Thanks for the tips. I still think you are super mom and I have much to learn from you!
