An Analogy

Ok, stay with me...

We all know this is how I feel about cold...and snow...right?

Well, you know when your stomach hurts, like really bad, and you wonder if you wouldn't feel a little better if you actually threw up?

Seriously, stick with me...

And then you throw up and you do feel better?

The sky threw up last night. Well, it actually kind of just spit up a little bit of white stuff, everywhere.

Today it's almost better. Sure, there's snow, the city shut down, they canceled school, but it's actually a little bit warmer today. And, the kids are happy.

See?

And what do we Texans do when it snows and our snow shovel is at someone else's house being used for construction?

We rake.

and how do the chickens like the snow?

Love the rake! Too funny!

We attempted a snowman that ended up to be a small pile of snow with two sticks poking out of it.

The kids loved it though (even though I am going crazy keeping up with their messes right now!)

I laughed out loud at the picture of you! You look positively thrilled! The rake was ingenious--my kids used the push broom last week!

The chickens are living in a poultry spa in the back yard. Seriously, they have a space heater back there set at 80° - not high enough to roast them...

It wasn't great packing snow, so no snowman to brag about here...

The push broom would have been so much better, I wish I'd thought of that!

I love snow here because it only lasts one day. That is my limit.
