Last Saturday was beautiful. It was 80°, slight wind, bright and sunny. Today is rainy, in a West Texas sort of way. Let's just say it's been raining all day, a street nearby has turned to a river, with whitecaps, and our corner is a full size lake. We've named it Lake Harvard. You could go waterskiing on it. I'm not complaining, I can almost see my grass applauding with gratitude as I type this.
(Seriously? Waterskiing is two words? Fine, water skiing.)
Anyway, back to last Saturday and the beautiful weather. It was the first Saturday we had two soccer games. At the same time.
Savannah had one, as evidenced in the above photo, she was super excited for her game. She loves to wear her "watermelon" colored uniform. FYI, it's not watermelon, it's like neon pinkish-orange. It looked completely different in the online catalog, and yes, we're responsible for the color...I mean Shane is, he's the coach. It does make for an easy find when looking for their field. Oh, and Shane has one just like it, manly eh? I think so!
I felt bad not attending her game, but since she's got an obligatory audience out of the coach, I snapped pictures at home. Maybe once this season I'll actually get the camera to her field to document the herdball (I totally mean soccer) game.
Meanwhile, at a soccer field across town, the babies are all ready to watch Lincoln's game. They were yelling and cheering with the rest of the fans. They were politely eating their snacks, drinking their drinks and enjoying the beautiful day.
Then the game started. I got to snap a few pictures of Lincoln's team...
And a few of Lincoln...
Then the troops got restless. This is right before they had an epic meltdown (yes, both of them) and I spent the remainder of the game pushing two screaming two year olds around the soccer grounds trying to stay out of earshot of the other soccer fans.
I love Saturdays. Totally.

I am glad everyone survived the meltdown! Love you
What cute soccer players. I have a feeling that you are going to have four soccer games on Saturdays in the not too distant future-at least that's what I thought when I saw the rapt attention in the first photo of the twins- then, well, maybe.
Your daughter is darling! And your twins bring me some amusement as I visualize the faces of my twins on the bodies of yours.
I love, love, love me those freckles on Savannah's nose! I hope that the rain lets up and you can get back to the sunny days.
Savannah looks sooooo adorable in that pink uniform. Your kids are just too cute! Gotta love soccer season!
