Dear Vacation,
I'm making this quick tonight, because I'm totally in the middle of a great book, and I'd love to get through a little bit more of it before we start another relaxing week here in Utah.
Church was great. Lots of nice people, lots of old friends. Seriously, how cool is it that we can just walk back into the ward we left two years ago and have it still feel like home?
So cool.
Plus, the babies only interrupted 35-40 minutes of Sacrament meeting with their screaming, climbing, yelling, climbing, fighting, and crying. Oh, and did I mention the climbing? You'd think pews were the new, hottest thing to scale while bored in church. Oh, and there was the meltdown over fruit snacks, but we won't even go there right now.
There was however, and immediate connection between Savannah and Calvin. I swear, we're bringing back arranged marriages. I've got a couple of companions picked out for each of my kids. You know, plan A...plan B. We'll stop there, but I am working on a plan C if necessary.
Dinner was great. Natalie cooked. Amazing, I know! (I had to add that Natalie, it's because I love you and your brother reads this...hehehe) And how cool was it that we spent two hours chilling on Natalie's stairs. Awesome, I know. Perhaps it's not just pews the babies are intrigued by.
(note to self: I should probably look into a rock wall for our backyard so they don't continue to try scaling the fireplace when we return home.)
You know, I think the only real hiccup we encountered today was Landry's binky fiasco. It seems she chewed through her one and only binky. It's been going for awhile, and it died tonight at bed time. She's done the same thing to four other binkies and we've just been letting her run through her supply. I made the decision while packing to leave her last one at home. I'm still not certain that was the best decision, but hey - looking at this in a positive light, she'll be weaned from it by the time we get back to that last, lone binky, right? RIGHT? And the next week of nap times and bed times is going to go smoothly. Right?
Coming up this week?
More family, more friends, a couple of photo shoots, play group, dinners, and Lincoln. Plus Shane finally makes an appearance!
For those who care, he's been lovingly hanging out at home, eating canned ravioli and working on projects. Yes, I feel bad. I'll make him a special chocolate cheesecake all for himself when we get back. I promise.

On Sunday we have five kids. We cannot bring any toys, any snacks, anything or it's just plain chaos. Heck it's chaos anyway. Today we were in and out six times but I refuse to stay in the foyer. Sundays can be so fun!
Oh the binki. On vacation no less. Good luck with that!
Yes, I hear he has a chocolate addiction.
