Stocking Up

You'd think with a title like "Stocking Up" we'd be decorating for Christmas or something, but since I just got our Thanksgiving decoration (yes, singular) up yesterday and I am a firm believer in the separation of Thanksgiving and Christmas, we're not putting the stockings up.

We are however stocking up.

There is little that makes me happier than a completely stocked pantry and fridge/freezer. Hello, holiday cooking! Now if we can just avoid leftovers and purchasing anything else that might need to squeeze into the pantry/fridge/freezer...

Oh, and I'm taking stock too, of what we need to get done around here. Chores, like:

Cleaning the garage (check)
Vacuuming/sweeping the floors (check)
Destroying the couches (not on my list, but it was on the kids list like 5 times, today)
Cooking for an activity tonight (check)
Raking the leaves (yeah, right...not until all of the leaves fall)
Finishing the deck (one day...one day)
Homework (3 more weeks of school!)
Get to bed before 9 p.m. (riiiiight)

So, if you're stocking up or taking stock too, just remember - 'Tis the Season...

Funny, I seriously stocked up on Friday at Sams and the grocery store! I LOVE the feeling of a full fridge/freezer and the thought of having everything at my fingertips to create a yummy snack or a meal. I swear we're sisters! (I wish)

I often tell people that my favorite room in my house is my cold storage room. It's stocked and restocked. (Thanks to coupons.)

I shop from my basement daily!

I love your decoration. You're a woman after my own heart with that ONE. My neighbor asked me last month why we didn't have our Halloween decorations up and I just laughed and told her the only holiday I decorate for is Christmas. Everything else is just hassle and clutter.
