Lincoln's field day was held at the practice stadium, next to his school. The "grass" was greener, which as great, the sun was bright, and the breeze was cool. Sam Houston competed against Fannin again this year, and this year we won!
Lincoln participated in the 50 yard dash, the 100 yard dash, the tug o' war, and the water balloon toss.
Here is Lincoln with his friend Aaron.
And the stairs that were the entertainment for the day for Cael and Landry.
Seriously, what's better than a stadium full of stairs?
The view from our seats. We were at the 50 yard line.
Prepping for the tug o' war with Ms. Buchanen's class.
On the ground after being defeated...
The water balloon toss, he and his friend Carson got 3rd. They started 10 yards away from each other and ended 25 yards away from each other. Seriously, who can throw a water balloon 25 yards?
I totally would have stuck around and gotten a close up of Lincoln with his friends, but Landry pooped her pants and I was afraid of everyone's reaction (it was so gross), so we held on until they announced the end and scooted out of there as fast as we could. I'm sure Lincoln appreciated us keeping the poop far away from him.

What a great idea for field day -- and actual competition! Our field day consists of the same dumb games the kids are totally bored with my the end. What a great venue to have it and special for the kids!
Fun to catch up with you!!! Even though I don't always comment, I love your entries. I'm glad you catsupped.
