We were late arriving for Savannah's field day, and unfortunately only caught the end of the tug-of-war and missed the sponge pass, but we managed to catch Savannah hopping on a bouncy race. She expressed gratitude for knowing how to bounce on these things, since kids around her were being thrown off at an amazing pace.
The cheerleaders, eating their breakfast since they'd just come from swimming lessons and we all know not to eat before we swim, right?!?
Then there was the water balloon toss. Savannah did pretty well, as did her friend Brooklyn. Nothing like tossing balloons full of cool water on a hot Summer day!
The happy "almost first grader".
(note the amazingly green grass in all of the pictures. We finally received a few minutes of rain last week after nearly 300 days without any moisture. It obviously didn't green anything up...)

CUTIE!! I love field day--that's what my kids are doing at this very moment and I'm sure they are loving it because we actually have sun today. We'd be happy to send some of our rain your way! Savannah is a doll!!!
Ahh, field day. I got to go twice since my kids now cover both the upper and lower grades!
