Teeth and Tears

Have I mentioned we're all about teeth around here?  Savannah's on her third lost tooth, and it came out with a bit of drama, and a confirmation that being a veterinarian is not for her.  At all.  And her fourth tooth is loose.  I'm thinking she's going to hate corn on the cob eating season this year.

Then, after losing her third tooth she felt pain in the back of her mouth, and we looked and found...more teeth.  She's getting more molars, one on each side.  So I guess they come in as they're going out...and...

Lincoln lost a tooth too.  Seriously, the tooth fairy has been very, very busy around here.  Lincoln hadn't lost a tooth in over 3 1/2 years.  It must be contagious.  Plus, at the dentist last week, Lincoln was told about three more teeth would soon be loose.  Tooth fairy is going to have to take out a loan for her work around here.

But, at least Lincoln lost his tooth before he headed to Utah for a few weeks.  He is currently enjoying Utah summer weather, which includes nice 70-80° weather, rain, flooding and snow in the mountains.  We are currently enjoying West Texas summer weather, which includes 100°+ weather, no measurable moisture for nearly a year, and wind that kicks up so much dust it actually looks like we have smog...

Savannah, is currently in a funk, like every summer, because she misses her brother, who happens to be her favorite tormentor while he is near her, and her best friend when he is not.  I am also in a funk, because I lost my best helper and my live-in babysitter.  Man, I can't wait for things to get back to normal...where everyone is back home and everyone has all of their teeth.

I can relate to the teeth, babysitter thing. Good luck with both of those. Whenever my kids have a fever we say, "Let us look in your mouth."
