We had to enjoy the outdoors while we could in Utah. Between other obligations and rain, we only got up the canyon to fish once, but we loved it! We bought day fishing passes, along with the other necessities like bait, additional poles, and of course the picnic food. We hit up Payson lakes for an afternoon of fishing. Just when we were going to call it a day of wonderful-outdoor-fun-but-no-luck-fishing we caught one, then two fish. It was great for the kids to be able to reel in the beautiful trout. It was even better to cook them up that night and let the kids eat what they caught. I'd love to say it went over great, but my kids are just not fish eaters. Lincoln, Shane, Mom and I loved it, though. There's really nothing like providing your own dinner.
