My Kids At The Party

Savannah got invited to a birthday party for a friend at school. When I called to RSVP, the mom, who I assumed was crazy, invited any other children that might live with or be visiting Savannah on that date. The little girl is cute, friendly and didn't seem to be lacking in the friend department, which just confirmed this mom was looking for punishment of some sort or another. So I said yes, and told her I'd be dropping three children off. I'm always one to help someone go crazy a little bit faster.

I took my nap-deprived children to the address on the invitation and found out it was the First Baptist Activity Center. Hello fun building...We Mormons have nothing on the Baptists for entertainment. They have a cafeteria, a kitchen, a ton of rooms you can rent for parties, a basketball court, a gym, a lounge, and ...

(drum-roll please)

a roller-skating rink?!!?
with skates of all sizes?!?!
and skateboards for those who can't skate?!?!

I told Shane if we converted I could make between $50,000-80,000 playing piano for them, plus we could go skating...we talked it over and decided it wasn't the best choice for us. Something about Eternal Salvation and Forever Families being available only with the LDS church...

Ah, well.

So, back to the party. I dropped the kids off, and had to take my mom and my ex-mother-in-law back to the house (that's a totally different, yet equally entertaining story...) and when I showed up to check on them a brief hour or so later, this is what I found:

Cael chugging a juice box, literally chugging, while covered in cheetos.

Landry passed out at the refreshment table in the middle of eating chips.

Out cold, sitting on a chair, in the middle of a party.

And cheeto boy.

And sleepy girl.

And cheeto boys very full stomach. Full of cheetos and juice.

And Nannah, skating to her hearts content.

And doing well at skating.

With her friends.

The End.

Wow, what a rough choice! I'm glad you decided to not convert though, I like the idea of being sealed to those sleepy and cheeto-ey and skating kids :D

Too cute! Oh my gosh...Cael is just cracking me up in these pictures...I don't know what it is about adorable cheeto faces! And, Landry, well, I'm just amazed that she fell asleep amidst the action! Um...I'm wondering what you did on your free hour off and also a little curious about the ex-mother-in-law story!

They do everything bigger in Texas...including birthday parties...and church's. They are big-business here, you know. :) Your kids are growing up so fast!
