We had the opportunity to have a couple of extra teenagers around for a couple of weeks. They're amazing people, and we were really sad to see them go. Their whole family is awesome, and when they left they took friends, piano students, accompanists, the only other deacon, babysitters, friends, the YW president, and a counselor in the bishopric.
Now, you see why we miss them so much?
So, while they were here, and were being extremely patient with the constant mauling from my kids, I snapped some pictures.
Mostly, they look like this...Landry, snuggling with Alex, her love, muse and idol for the week. Like I said, they were SO patient. I think she only asked him a million and one times how old he was (17). He just graduated (salutatorian) from MHS and is heading to BYU in the fall. He's smart, super nice, talented, patient, awesome, patient (yes, again), and I would love my girls to find someone like him when they get a little older.
And Courtney, a 15 year old girl that I love that my kids look up to. She's a perfect example of what I'd love my girls to grow up to. Modest, kind, friendly, talented, smart and respectful. Plus so much more.
We, of course, are also going to miss Bennett, Maria and Curtis. They've been amazing friends that hopefully we'll hold on to forever, thanks to technology! (and perhaps the bribe of a place to stay should they ever want to visit...)
