Swimming lessons were resumed after a year off. I resumed working out at the same time. The kids recovered faster than I did. They loved being back in the water, and though they'd forgotten a lot of what they'd previously learned, they did remember that they didn't sink and managed to progress from there. Landry gave everyone a bit of a scare when she was playing around and fell into the water from sitting on the side. I wasn't worried, there were three teachers and a lifeguard within three steps from her, and though I missed most of the action, I did see her kicking her little legs off to stay up.
She made it, I laughed, and a lot of the other parents were ready to give me worst parent ever award. Oh well.
Savannah kicking on the side.
Savannah swimming. The teacher pictured is Andrew. Savannah has a crush on Andrew. She'd be so embarrassed if she knew I was blogging that. Keep that just between us...
Cael and Landry on the side waiting their turn to swim.
Cael is taking after his parents in designing and constructing houses. These are two of his creations. He is pretty good. Maybe he can fix our house too.
And Lincoln, at his first solo and ensemble. He did great, got a 1, which is the best. He has signed up for orchestra next year at the junior high. He has another year of lugging around a cello. Lucky him!
