Those of you who know Shane know he's a little political. If his name ends up on a ballot it wouldn't surprise me. At all.
I like that he keeps up on the issues. He's well informed. He's knowledgeable. He's pretty much the only reason I know who to vote for.
It's a good thing we actually agree on the issues, or I'd be in a world of hurt.
Some people he gets a little more passionate about. Some not so much.
Then he took me (and Cael and Landry) to meet Ted Cruz. Actually, I wanted to go, he didn't drag us. Well, we kind of dragged the kids, but we didn't have a babysitter, and it was a meeting at a place that sold tractors, so they did get to look at tractor catalogs, so it wasn't all bad.
I loved the meeting. I loved meeting the candidate, and his wife. I loved chatting with them. I loved hearing him speak on the issues. I loved hearing him debunk all the crap that his opponent has been slinging over the media. I loved it because I believed it. I believed it because it was true. I knew it was true because Shane has done his research. See, it helps us both out.
The kids loved it because of the tractor catalogs and the fact that Ted Cruz's wife asked them if they wanted to sit on her lap. I also bribed them to be good with the promise of snacks. They received the snacks. And Ted Cruz received my vote. (and, he'll receive it again, because he made it to a run-off! Good luck Mr. Cruz!)
