Spring has sprung (actually, the kids have)

Today is Lincoln's 8th birthday! I can't believe I am old enough to have an 8 year old, it makes me sort of reminisce...actually my brain is so mushy I don't remember much past three hours ago.

I thought I would take today to give a little update about our kids, particularly because we took three of them in to the doctor today so I actually do have an update.

First off, Lincoln is 8 years old, 65 pounds, easily 4' 5". He'll outgrow me in a year. He's looking forward to his baptism and starting cub scouts in a week. He's top reader in his class, loves math and science and hates to write. He loves to read SpiderWick and other big series. He loves American Idol and is rooting for David Archuleta (what Utahn isn't). He also likes Man vs. Wild and Myth Busters. He lives to play soccer, watch football and cheers for BYU and the Philadelphia Eagles. He likes music too; the All American Rejects and Daughtry are his favorite bands. He makes friends easily and helps everyone. Both his school and church teachers praise him for being such a huge help, we notice it here too. He's basically assigned to entertain Savannah when he's here and doesn't complain, even if it means taking her with him to play with his friends next door. He shares everything, in fact he was recently given some cash from his grandma to spend on himself. The first thing he saw in the store was a pink bouncy beach ball which he promptly purchased for Savannah, then he went shopping for himself.

Savannah is 2 1/2, 33 lbs, and 39 inches tall. She is our resident thesbian, she's a definite diva with a drama queen attitude! She plays many different roles. Current favorites are Princess Aurora, Briar Rose (those are the same person...), Little Mermaid and Tinkerbell. Her best friend in the world is Peter Pan whom she has many, many, many conversations with throughout the course of the day. She has been known to talk to Peter Pan for 15 minutes straight on her little pretend cell phone. The only way she's ever getting a real cell phone is if it's pre-paid or she's paying for the minutes! She also enjoys American Idol so she can dance and any other animated movie. She regularly wakes up asking to watch "hartoons". She's mastering toilet training and no longer asks for candy every time she goes. She is currently suffering from tonsilitis and an ear infection, hopefully she's better by our move!

Cael and Landry are two months old today. At their check up today Cael weighed 9 lbs 4 oz and was 22 inches long. Landry was 8 lbs 7 oz and 21 inches long. Landry has a bigger head, but overall Cael has her beat. They are doing really well. They show little signs of being preemies. They are both between the 5-10th percentile on weight and 15-20th percentile on length. It's nice to actually have them on the charts now. They both are keeping the same hair color they were born with. Cael is growing in really, really blond hair and has really bright blue eyes. Landry has much darker hair and dark blue eyes. They are slowly figuring out that night is when you take longer naps than during the day. They are also starting to realize (very minutely) that you can be awake for periods of time without having to be eating.

I can't believe how big the kids are getting and how old they are. I hate to think that I'm aging as quickly as they are!

Thanks for the update! You guys have an uber cute family. What surprises me most is how selfless Lincoln is. I wouldn't be spending my gift money on any one but me. Hope he had a happy birthday yesterday!

I am so glad you posted this about your cute kids. It's fun to know what they like. Tell Lincoln Macey has a crush on David Archuletta! I think today is your big day with Lincoln's baptism/confirmation and the twin's baby blessings. Wish we were there. Love you!
