There you go...

Ok, so I was going to post the day after my last posting to complain once again of the tortures of showing our house. After receiving a call on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. asking to show the house at 11:00 a.m. I was extremely grateful that our kids had had less than 24 hours to do any sort of damage to the house. I spent the 30 minutes stashing laundry and dirty bottles under sinks, finding Savannah and her shoes and wrapping the babies up for a walk to the park, only to emerge from the house as the realtor and buyers were approaching the door. (phew, just in time!!)

While still at the park, (and just down the street from our house so I could keep an eye on when we could go back home...) I received a call from our realtor letting me know that the changes we needed on our sign out front may not be such a big deal after all. She had just received a call from the showing realtor saying we were likely going to get an offer that afternoon!

Well, not only did we receive an offer from those buyers, but we liked the offer, and our house is now under contract! Yeah! Our closing date is scheduled for April 10th, which means if all goes as planned (I'm being optimistic!) we should be able to purchase a home in Midland by May.

In addition to selling the house, we sold our Saturn today. I think this is just additional confirmation that we've made the right decision to move to Texas. Now all we need to do is finish packing and we'll be on our way. Actually, I'm lying...now all we need to do is finish packing, figure out what additional junk we don't want to take with us, plan a birthday party for Lincoln, a baptism get-together and a blessing get-together, and make sure that nothing happens to the house in the meantime! Check out our house's website--yes, our home has a website. www.255n400e.com
