I have been such a blog slacker! I wish I could say my recent absence was because of a wonderful vacation that whisked me away from all things technological...yeah, right! :)

I'm happy to report that we are now into the full swing of school, soccer, scouts... oh yeah, and the other three kids too! It's been a little bit busy, but I feel good knowing we're finally kind of getting into a groove. The babies have now successfully started sleeping through night on occasion. (I didn't say consistently, but successfully on occasion...) They also can sit up pretty well and are enjoying baby food. They are loud and fun. Savannah continues to keep me on my toes. She's the funnest little firecracker...seriously the epitome of "the girl with the curl, right in the middle of her forehead".

It's been amazing weather for the last couple of weeks. Once the rain stopped Autumn emerged. If Midland could be like this year-round I would absolutely LOVE it! Perfect Autumn temperatures, no wind, crisp cool mornings and perfect evenings. I love having doors on our upper level, leaving them open during the cool times of day is the perfect air conditioning!

Shane and I finally had an extra kick of motivation on Saturday and got pictures hung up on the walls. We also got all of the baby stuff and extra boxes out of our room. It's finally OUR room! The house finally feels like a home to me. It's great to see the walls covered in our pictures. Shane had several of the pictures I'd taken framed for my birthday and they look great in the dining room! It's awesome to see something that you created actually look good on your walls, it makes me want to take up photography.

Anyhooo, I'm back to blogging, no more breaks for me, I promise. Unless I really get a long vacation to somewhere in the middle of nowhere (no, Midland doesn't count as a vacation) I'll be blogging more regularly.
