Does anyone know how many calories you burn while walking around with two almost 20# babies in your arms? Particularly up stairs, 15 of them - many times a day... Just wondering because I did an hour worth of Power Yoga today with a friend and realized that I'm more tired after carrying the babies than I was after a workout. Sure, I'm more flexible now that I did the yoga, and my hips are a little more sore than normal, but seriously I sweat more carrying the kids. Maybe I don't need to feel guilty about not having a gym membership anymore.
So, to clarify, I'll keep doing yoga, carrying babies, and sweeping the floors in our house and I should be good for a marathon in about 6 months. Too bad I can't run any more... :)

Most definitely a great workout! You should do a 5k with me on the 22nd. Not sure if I will be walking or jogging or a combo of the two. :)
I think that carrying a 20 pound anything up and down stairs all day counts as a serious workout. Especially after power yoga!
I worked at a day care this last summer, so yes I think carrying children is indeed a workout!
You are the woman! Don't worry about not being able to run anymore. Jumping on trampolines isn't as fun as it used to be either. :)
Oh man, do I get what you are saying even though my babies aren't 20 pounds yet, but will be soon, I'm afraid. I don't even feel guilty anymore about not working out because like you say, packing car seats around everywhere I go is giving me biceps like no workout ever gave me. Happy to hear you are doing well, your family is adorable and I'm amazed at how together you seem.
