Sure, the mountains were nice. And the friends and family all close were great. The green, lush grass was heavenly. The restaurants and shopping areas were wonderful. The snow even looked nice if you were bundled up beside a fire.
But you want to know what I really miss this time of year?
I'd take it in any flavor...well, not raspberry or orange...but seriously, we have nothing that compares. I'm contemplating going back to school in food science to try to come up with something close...maybe.
And I also miss this:
Mixed with Stephens French Vanilla Hot Cocoa...mmmm. You can't get this stuff here in the middle of nowhere. I even asked the cashier at one of our local stores; she thought I was asking for stationary stuff. Whatever...
However, if you're looking for coffee, every store I checked carries at least 40 varieties/flavors for your tasting convenience. Too bad I don't drink the stuff.
Well, I guess we have some stuff that you don't:
Yeah, that's exactly what I was thinking too...

Watch Sam's club. They had the candy cane cocoa last year and the year before they had a variety pack of stevens. We always stocked up when we went to Utah. It is the yummiest cocoa!
Also I think Albertsons does orders for things they don't carry. Worth checking into!
Great, now I really want to try the stuff and I can't get it.
hahaha. ha. :)
We just had a fireside tonight with hot cocoa and the YM's President in charge of the refreshments put a bit of Amaretto in it and it was amazing!!! Maybe it won't be like what you are missing, but at least it will be different. And I would stay away from pickled cactus for sure. :)
Amazon.com! Actually, you can usually get Pero at a health food store or a drug store. Stephen's however is a little trickier. If you want me to look for it here this week before I come, I will. I've seen it before at Costco and Randalls is Dallas so they might have it here too.
