Taking a brief break from the regularly schedules vacation posts to give you a quick update. It seems Cael may be our resident comedian, at least for this week.
I'll admit right now my kids love movies and tv. You know I call it the babysitter. (Jokingly, of course...) Therefore, prior to the trip I purchased a new dual screen dvd player for the Suburban. I think you get sainted if you take a 16 hour trip without them and your kids don't whine. I mean, my kids are great travelers, but they're even better travelers when I can rot their brains with Disney movies for 16 hours.
We were just getting ready to start the first movie and Natalie pulled out the movies. Cael piped up with the most enthusiasm he's ever mustered and yelled, "Yay! Movie! I liiiiiike it!"
Goes to show you how cool I am...packing movies so that my kids can show their enthusiasm for life.
During the same drive, only after a few movies and during what I thought would be a great little naptime for the kids, Cael woke up a little groggy. I really think he was just trying to move around a little bit, because he didn't really wake up - he stirred. Then he said (with his eyes shut), "Mom, I sleeeepy", closed his eyes and tried to return to sleep. A few minutes later he stirred again and said, "Mom, I tired!". Natalie and I were laughing as he went back to sleep. Not three minutes later he stirred again, opened his eyes, looked at us and said, "atchoo!" The he was out for another half an hour.
Who know what kind of a dream he was having, but I don't think I've ever had to sneeze (even pretend) while I was asleep!
