One Week Down, How Many More To Go???

The kids are loving school. LOVING it. I am not so much loving it, for them or for me. They're growing up, which means I'm growing up too. And if you're an adult, then growing up just means you're getting older.

They're both making new friends, learning new things and I'm seeing new-found independence in both of them. *sniff, sniff*

You ever have that feeling after dinner that your eyes were bigger than your stomach? My eyes were bigger than my calendar.

I'm disappointing myself, but I think I'm going to drop my History class. History and me...we don't get along very well. I hate it; it hates me. Kind of like what you read about in your History books. You know, war. Though I'm sure it's a great class and I will eventually take it, on it's own with no other classes to distract me. I think I'd even like my teacher, who claims he's lived through half of the subject matter we're supposed to be studying.

Math is great, English is fine, Art is ok. History sucks. And so does the class.

But hey, good news? I entered photos in the Midland County Fair Photo Contest and all 5 of them ribboned. Yay! Someone else thought they were decent too. Plus while at the fair we got to see (and touch) horses, goats, cows, longhorns, chicks, bunnies, guinea pigs, a prairie dog, and lizards.

See?

How do you do it all?? I think you are amazing for going to school with little ones. I'm thinking I'll start in approximately 3 years...when the babies go to school. I'm feeling much like you as far as the kids going back to school. I spend my days running kids to and from activities and wonder where the days of hanging out in jammies reading books until 11:00 went. I miss those days but I think I'll enjoy this stage as well (once I get in to the swing of things.) Good luck with everything you are juggling....I think you are pretty darn amazing!!!!!!!!!

You are a brave woman. One thing I've learned from my history is that I'll never go to school again.

Which pictures did you enter? I would love to see them. Good luck with your classes. Sorry about the kids growing up. Nothing we can do to stop it.
