Has It Really Been That Long? Sorry!

Time flies when you're having fun...or super busy. Whichever. Mine's the latter, mostly, with a little of the former fit in too.

Let's take today on the calendar, for example. We've got an appointment, school for Lincoln, Savannah and me, work for Shane, I teach a piano lesson, we've got Savannah's soccer practice, Lincoln's football practice, a PTA meeting at school disguised as a 5th grade singing program, and Shane's got church meetings. Everything starting with the piano lesson is crammed between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m.

It's not all happening. Logistically, unless I can clone one of my children and myself before 5 p.m. today we're not going to be everywhere we need to be. And PTA is something that I'm willing to skip. Lincoln gave the go ahead to skip his program, he'd rather be at football anyway.

We do have fun too. Friday we spent the evening with some other families playing and eating. Lincoln ended up with a great big shiner on his right eye. I couldn't stop laughing, I'm such an awesome Mom. Plus, the shiner came just in time for school pictures. Even better. Every kid needs a black eye in school pictures at least once. I had one, it's my favorite picture to date.

Plus, my mom came to visit. That's always fun. The kids have someone new to show off for, which leaves a few minutes to get schoolwork done. Plus she brought peaches and pears from Utah AND canned them while she was here. I totally have the best Mom in the world! I think I could live off fresh peaches. We've been eating them like crazy, fresh peach ice cream, peach crisp, peaches and cream...mmmmm.

Anyway, I've postponed homework as long as I can...see you in another couple of weeks.

Poor poor Lincoln. I'd like to see a picture of that shiner. What a tough kid!

I've missed your posts! You are seriously one busy lady. I know I always say this, but I sincerely mean it...I don't know how you accomplish everything and still keep your sanity. How is school going?? I wish I could see Lincoln's big shiner, I bet it looks great! I'm laughing that you were laughing about the whole thing. That's totally something I would do. Good luck with your crazy day!!

I can't wait to see Lincoln's shiner. One of my favorite pictures of Ian is with a black eye.

I've missed your posts too, but I'll let it slide because I know how crazy busy you are.

Today I sat down to lunch at 4:30. I think it will double as dinner.

That is crazy busy! I too want to see the shiner. I would have loved to have one in my school pictures. The best I have is some seriously whacked bangs.
