Selfishly, I held the twins out of Pre-k this year. I couldn't really bear the thought of sending them away all day, every day. Plus, they don't really need the socialization, they've got each other. Right?
Landry probably could attend kindergarten right now and kill it. Cael just doesn't care, he's completely content to chill at home. I decided if I wasn't going to put them into school we could at least work it here at home. I assembled 3-ring binders with traceable worksheets in sheet protectors and they get to work some of the worksheets every day with dry erase markers. They love doing their homework!
I also ventured out a little and let them do some cutting...pretty sure they'd never used scissors before. I'm just not a messy sort of mom!
I love the binder idea, and I've got a ton of additional worksheets to add to them.

Your kids rock!! I love the sheet protector idea...i'm totally copying. I laugh when I read about your kids because Kamryn is totally ready for Kindergarten and Porter could care less about school...all he cares about is having a dirt pile readily available! Um... I'm floored at how well they both trace though...we've got some work to do around here (thanks for inspiring me)
