I had a ton of errands to run today. I probably should have spread them out over the whole week, but then I'd have to run errands with two 3 year olds on more than one day, and that's just to tiring to think about. So, instead I run a few throughout the week and delay the majority of them until one day when I just can't put it off anymore, like today.
See, Shane and Lincoln are camping with the scouts tonight, so we needed to get Lincoln's new scout book, and I needed to go to the storage unit for the tent, the sleeping bags, the pads, the cooler, the camp chairs and anything else camping related that I could think of, oh, and the Easter stuff. Then I had to go to the bank, because it's the first of the month and we had some deposits and withdrawals to do. Then I had to go to the store, you know, to stock up on camping snacks, and food for the family pets, and the family humans.
By the time I hit the storage unit, stop #2 on the list, Cael informed me he had to go to the bathroom. Now, he's doing really well on managing to not wet his pants, but still two weeks into potty training is still a little early to make him wait until we got to a restroom, so I pulled him out of the car, pulled his pants down to his ankles and instructed him to pee on the nearest plant. (It's a dumpy storage unit, with no one around, don't judge). He looked at me like I was crazy, the proceeded to "hold it" until I told him he needed to pee or get back in the car. So he peed, right on the plant with yellow flowers, with a look of concern on his face the entire time. When I strapped him back in the car he excitedly told Landry, "I peed on the plant, it's going to grow!"
So, if my dead plant in the entrance to our home all of the sudden comes back to life, we'll know that Cael is continuing to do well on his potty training...
By the time we hit stop #4, Sam's Club, Landry was done with errands. I was too, but somehow I manage to control my tantrums while in public. Landry hasn't figured that out yet. She was whining and wailing and I calmly asked her if she'd like a spank. "Nope, I'm good...." came the reply, followed by chuckles from the woman in back of us.
I didn't even get to stop #5 on my list...looks like Shane's going to be without smores' tonight...
