I think the highlight of the trip for the kids was swimming in Nani's pool. Seriously, swimming...
K, it was probably the fact that we never go swimming in Texas, and it was Nani's pool...
But still, why did we drive 1000 miles for this?
Because my kids love it! There's nothing like seeing your kids tooling around in a pool on their own (with floaties). Plus the fact that I had a few extra arms, just in case, was great. I'm not sure the swimming lessons they've had taught them anything useful, but at least Cael wasn't stuck to my chest this year. Lincoln showed off the front and back flips, and the handstands, just to prove the lack of swimming skills didn't start with him.
They start swimming lessons again this month, and I'm hoping by next year, at Nani's pool, we'll be void of all flotation devices...or not.

Swimming at the pool is always fun!
Looks and sounds like your trip was a blast. I'm looking forward to scrolling back a bit to see all the fun you've had. The pool looks awesome and I'm glad your kids enjoyed it....swimming lessons have helped us as well (I haven't missed the babies clinging to me in the pool one bit)
Our swimming pool is not as far away. =)
