Shane and I celebrated our 8th anniversary on the road home from Utah. However, we took advantage of the free and available babysitting while we were in Utah and took a quick retreat to Midway to celebrate making it past the 7 year itch.
We enjoyed the rain...
The stairs at the Homestead that take you up to the top of a crater, just so you can look down into it...
The amazing view...
Memorial Hill, which when I was a child I loved to walk up. Now, as an adult, I enjoy the drive...
Staying at the Homestead. It was great! We enjoyed dinner and breakfast alone, without children. There were no remarks of "Mommy, I need to go tee-tee...", "Mommy, I don't like this...". Some day we're going to have to take a vacation away from kids for longer than an overnighter so we can enjoy swimming in the pool, and seeing the sites, but we'll take what we can get. And I always miss the kids, even over night!

What a fun little get away! You definetly deserve it-7 years, wow!! You and Shane make such a great couple--I can tell that even though we don't get to see much of each other:):) Your pics are gorgeous! Glad you had such a great time!
