Savannah was spoiled last year because when we returned for Grandma Teichert's funeral we also got to celebrate her birthday in Utah. She felt that she should have that opportunity every year, so we had a pre-birthday party for her so Grandma Kinghorn could share in the excitement with us.
Our family tradition, started by my mom when I was little, takes the kids on a treasure hunt for their gifts. Savannah was presented with stuffed animals, notebooks, a movie, nail polish, hair things, and clothes.
And a hug from Grandma! She also got to pick her favorite breakfast, crepes with berries and whipped cream.
