Hello, my name is Brooke and I'm an olympics addict... Just kidding, I'm not an addict; I can't be considering I can barely watch tv for more than 5 minutes without something going on with the kids. However, if I were alone with no other responsibilities, I'd be an addict. I set our DVR to record all things olympic and I think slowly Shane and I will wend our through them all. It may be months before we get to see it all, long after the awards have been given and athletes have gone home, but we'll still enjoy watching it all. Our personal faves are swimming (ie: watching Michael Phelps 'smash' every record he encounters), mens gymnastics, beach volleyball, womens gymnastics, and we were kind of fascinated with synchronized diving. I had no idea that there was olympic kayaking. Thankfully with DVR we not only can skip through the commercials, but we can skip through alot of the commentating and see the good stuff...for 5 minutes at a time!

Hey, you are not alone. We LOVE the Olympics. We have been watching as much as we can. Nathan is really into Michael Phelps, and stands up during his races cheering for him. I try to tell him that the race is actually already over and that no one can hear him (except for the neighbors) but he keeps right on shouting, "go, go, go!" Crazy kid!
Your life sounds alot like ours...love DVR. It's hilarious when I'm driving in the car and without thinking attempt to fastforward the commercials on the radio. We let the kids stay up with us a couple of nights till 1:30am to finish watching the stuff that recorded all day long. I know a bad habit to break right before school, but the Olympics only come once every four years, right?
Hey Brooke,
I love your blog! It was so fun to see that you've visited mine! Your family is beautiful and you look great! How are you managing twins?? It is so crazy and nothing could've prepared me for this. I am enjoying them though and they are so stinking cute that you can't help but love them even when they are cranky. Your twins are adorable! I look forward to reading your blog and getting the latest update! Glad to hear you are doing great.
Sounds very familiar. Clint and I stay up way to late watching it after the kids are in bed. We regret it the next day when we are so tired, but then do it again. Some people just never learn.
