Life is short and sometimes it is cut even tragically shorter. Yesterday I found out again how precious life is, and how important it is to love everyone and live a kind life. You never know when those you love are going to leave you and you can't ever do too good of a job of telling people how much you appreciate them and love them. I live for family, immediate and extended, close or far away. Relationships with family members mean more to me than just about anything. Sometimes those relationships are cut off for awhile, sometimes they are cut off permanently, but that does not mean that we don't still love those we are apart from. Sometimes when we are separated from family it truly does "make the heart grow fonder" and when we are able to reunite with those lost relationships it is even better than we remember it being. I hope I can say, at the last judgment day, that I did my part to strengthen relationships around me, and even when I felt the relationship was lost, that I tried my best to keep in touch, and let my family know how much I love them, and how much they mean to me.
I love and miss you Paul....we all do!

It sounds like you've lost someone very important to you. I understand your sentiments though. I've lost family members in the past and wondered if I had really shown them how much I loved them. I am sorry for your loss!
Thanks for your post though it must have been difficult to write! I needed to be reminded of how important it is to make every moment count. Sometimes I get tunnel vision and forget to look at the big picture..realizing that our time on earth is very short. You are a great example and I appreciate that you take the time to keep in contact via blog...I enjoy reading your posts!
I love you and your family Brooke.
When the last chapters of our lives are written, and the book is closed on our experience here in mortality, I am convinced that we will discover that the only word that will have mattered will simply be "love".
Brooke- thank you for your beautiful post, but more importantly, thank you for a heart full of love.
