My project, as opposed to the other one

With Shane bogged down in our project, I decided to make myself feel better by making something in the house a little more beautiful.  No, I didn't get a haircut, that's tomorrow.  I decided to change our master bath up a little bit, and I did it as a surprise to Shane...it worked.

See these flowers?  Gorgeous aren't they?  Love the color?  I do too.  Now, take the light purple, make it ugly and put it all over your wall, in FLAT paint.  Not so pretty any more, right?  It was just scary.  I'm told our whole entire master bedroom used to be that color.  It was changed before we walked through or we would NOT own the house now.  We have vision, but I would have been so nauseated we wouldn't have made it through the rest of the house.  Now, take that ugly color of paint and add it to this tile...

It only brought out the worst colors of an already strange tile.  The tile has a lot of brown, red, purple and pink in it.  Weird, I know.  Add purple paint and it looks like vomit.  Sick, I know.

This was a picture of the walls after I started.  I would have taken a picture of the whole horrid visual, but I was momentarily blinded and forgot.  So sorry.

This is a picture of the same wall an hour later.  Yep, chocolate brown.  It makes the white-brown specked tile pop.  And, it really neutralized the vomit out of the tile too.  I gave myself a big pat on the back.  Then I walked back down into reality...

One project at a time...

How in the world did you do that with twins????? I'm seriously puzzled, and a little jealous that you can accomplish such a huge thing. Go ahead, pat yourself on the back all you want. By the way, I LOVE IT!

I love the chocolate brown color! You are so lucky to have white tile on the walls.....our bathrooms have a funky peach color that doesn't go with anything!! Vomit would describe it well also!

Ugh!!!! I never want to live through construction again! Love the bathroom. If all projects could be as simple and short, eh?
