I'm Officially An Adult

You know you've finally reached adulthood when people (your husband) look at your birthday wishlist, shake their heads and ask if you're kidding, then proceed to buy you these:

and this:

and a bunch of these, because seriously, he had to get something that wasn't on the list:

because that's what you want when you're an adult - real glass glasses and a nice whisk.

What? Is that weird? It's just me? Well, if it's just me then I'm glad I have a husband and kids that like to look at housewares while shopping for me!

So, now when we feed people at our house, which we do approximately 2.1 times a week, you'll get to drink out of glass, not plastic! And not just any glass...a cute glass, picked out by my kids and my husband. I know, awesome!

Still on the wishlist? Round cake pans and more silverware...where the crap do the spoons go?

Oh, and my favorite scented lotion that he got me? Apple was good, Brown Sugar Vanilla is a great all time favorite, but the Butterfly Flower? Dang, that's nice!

Happy Belated Birthday! They are super cute glasses! Nice job Shane!

Oh and I think your spoons must be running off with my forks. We just use lots of plastic ones these days until I can buy more. Maybe that should be on my next birthday list!

Ha! I totally need new glasses! And I asked for a red mixer for my birthday but was denied. I did get the red toaster though. And Yum! on that lotion.

Happy Birthday a little late, Brooke! I always thought you were the perfect September/Fall birthday because of your gorgeous auburn hair. We have a picture of you running down this gravel lane in Heber at a family reunion and your voluminous, long hair is flying behind you. I always loved that picture and thought your hair was the prettiest color. Glass cups would be a dream come true, actually!

Happy B-Day, a day or two late! I'm super jealous about the glasses, I dream about them at night! I'm frankly tired of my colorful plastic glasses with matching sectional plates. Poor people who come to dinner at our house, although, I don't feed people nearly as often as you. (but with your good cookin', who can resist)

Happy birthday!

I must be old because I asked (and received) bakeware for Christmas. And I love it.

I'm putting glasses on my Christmas list now....
