Ummm, let me clarify...

Lest I sound like I was bragging or complaining in that last post....let me clarify some things:

I vacuum because I don't want to sweep 3000 sq/ft. I do it twice a week and it needs it every day. Every. Single. Day. Just like the windows and dusting. It's something about the dust and the wind here in desolate West Texas. That and the four kids who somehow can not seem to find a straight line from plate to mouth without taking a detour to the floor with at least 1/4 of their food.

That list is what we accomplish as a family. For the record, I do not trim Shane's nails or do his hair. (well, sometimes I cut the hair, but I do not style it) I also do not have to shower he or Lincoln.

Sometimes I get lazy and let the kids have school lunch, because really, when you think about it, it's basically as cheap, and how often do you get to eat nachos grande at home?

I also forgot to mention our daily scripture reading after dinner, and Shane's and my scripture study at bedtime, daily homework, occasional parent teacher conferences, playing with my kids, shopping, putting the groceries away, putting the laundry away, putting the clean dishes away, walking up 15 stairs dozens of times a day, emailing and blogging...

Did I mention how much I despise putting groceries, laundry and dishes away? I really, really don't like it.

I'm not a wonder woman, at all. I did however want to document that at some point in my life this was all I was doing. Because, as all us parents know, it just gets busier. I hope to look at this post in about two years and laugh at how easy life was in 2010.

I didn't think you were bragging. I thought it was a great idea. Besides, it's your blog, brag if you want to.

It was actually nice for you to take the time to write all that down. Mom's really do something, even though we may wonder at the end of the day what we did. :-) I love your blog and your honesty and your grasp of your situation. You make me smile and keep on keeping on.

I didn't think anything of the sort...I'm just amazed that you took time to write it all down (you will be glad you did someday) Anyway, you really deserve to brag because you are truly amazing in all that you can accomplish and you do it so beautifully and in control! Really, I want to be a fly on YOUR wall!

Did you know that when we buy groceries, we touch each item 6 times before it is finally in it's resting place??? 1- Off the shelf into the cart, 2- Out of the cart on the checkout belt, 3- From the bags into the cart again, 4 - from the cart into the car, 5 - from the car into the house, 6 - from the kitchen floor into the pantry or fridge. Not to make this mandatory task even more depressing for you, but... :)
