Dear Vacation,
Today was great, thanks! I wasn't sure how I was going to fit everything I needed to get done in, but somehow it all worked out. Lucky me.
I'm pretty sure my kids will all sleep well tonight. Playing that hard together for hours usually makes them sleep well, and I'm praying they do, because I'm beat as well.
We played at the park with Noah, Calvin, Henson and Malia, we played at Grandma's house with Noah, Calvin, Jerrick, Dallas and Johnathan. We played Nintendo (old school, y'all) and we played DS (FYI, I suck at both).
Then Lincoln and I headed South for a photo shoot with him and his Dad. Seriously, beautiful country, beautiful weather and a really cute kid. I can't wait to get the pictures downloaded and posted, they're great! I can't believe how old Lincoln is, it's like he's matured and grown in just the few weeks he's been here... No way I'm aging as fast as him...
I headed from the photo shoot to and 8 o'clock screening of Eclipse, you know - the vampire/werewolf movie. To be totally honest, I haven't seen any of the other ones, but when you get free tickets to a screening, and get to go with your sister-in-law and see old friends, why not? I had really low expectations, only because I don't usually love movies based on books that I loved. I was pleasantly surprised, it was good. (and a totally hilarious experience to hear the girls in the audience swoon every time Edward or Jacob came on screen...mostly Jacob though, so sorry Edward, apparently shirtless werewolves are more attractive than fully clothed vampires. Who'd have known?)
On the calendar for tomorrow?
SHANE COMES IN!!!!! Though I'm only a little excited about this, it'll be good to greet him at the airport with our poster and pictures. Hopefully he'll be as excited about seeing us, you know it's like greeting chaos after a week of solitude.
We also get to play with Sierra and Emily, see Nicole and Brad's new little one, hopefully get some lunch, dress shop with Sandee, and take family pictures...
Whew, it's going to be a busy day, I'd better get some good sleep tonight...
Thanks!
B
