Because I realized we have only 3 weeks and change before the kids go back to school and I really just want to keep them home forever and not send them back to school?
They would be slightly under-educated, but they would be home, where I could continue to spend time with them. So they would be loved, but under-educated...
Sounds good to me.
Problem is, they are both really looking forward to going back to school. I think I even heard the words "child labor laws" in the background. I mean just because we're trying to instill good work ethic in our children...
Seriously, 3 weeks people. So much work and so little time to utilize the young ones.
Geez, I'm kidding. At least about using them for hard labor. I'm not so much kidding about wanting to keep them home. That part I was serious about.

ha ha...I totally understand how you feel. I can't believe school is starting so soon.
I think wanting your children to stay home from school qualifies you as an awesome mom. My problem is just the opposite. We're all ready for some routine-- though starting Jr High is freaking both of us out.

One of my favorite things about my mom was how she dreaded the start of school. It made me feel so loved!
